Rising sophomores will read William Golding's Lord of the Flies, the unforgettable novel that tells the story of a group of stranded boys who survive a plane crash and then must survive one another. An opportunity for students to complete their mandatory summer reading work and continue building their literacy skills, the program sets the foundation for students’ study of British literature during sophomore year.
